BIBLICAL INSPIRATIONS

PRAYER AND HOPE

Prayers of the Righteous: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16) It’s often not if, but when the trials of life come our way, and when a test is upon us, we usually rely on our relationships with others for help and prayer.  We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a Hope that is found in Christ Jesus. This message is echoed on the flag which represents our great state of Rhode Island. Roger Williams searched the scriptures and in Hebrews 6:19 he found inspiration to establish a Colony rooted on the Hope that it be Anchored in Christ Jesus!

BIBLE SUPPORT

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything, worthy of praise; dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:6-8)

DEDICATION AND FAITH

Our righteousness is rooted in Christ Jesus, who paid the price for all of our sins at the cross.  When we open our hearts and accept Jesus as our personal savior, we can have this hope that when we pray, He hears us by the power of the Holy Spirit. For God so loved the world that he gave His only son, that whosever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16) So as your prayers and petition are placed at His throne in Heaven it is by faith that we move and trust in God to guide our steps in this life, and to prepare our hearts for eternal life with Him in heaven.
